"I must go down to the seas again,
to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship
and a star to steer her by"
- John Masefield
The Tall Ships have started arriving in the port of Halifax, and my heart swells when I gaze upon the forests of masts and sails, flags and rigging.
Tall Ships Nova ScotiaMaybe I'll see some of you down on the waterfront this weekend!
How pretty. I bet that's exciting to see.
ReplyDeleteI want to go! I was supposed to today, but Sunday is my boyfriends birthday and he wanted to go home for the weekend. His birthday won out over ships, but I am hoping to see them next week...
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try and go this weekend with my family. I know the girls would love to see them. :)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful sight. Hoping to get down and see them this weekend.
ReplyDeleteWow, that looks amazing! Maybe my next trip will have to be up north. ;)
ReplyDeleteHave fun, how I wished I was near the ocean by aye be a land locked land lubber, argh!
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a glorious sight it surely must be. Living in IN, we are landlocked. How I miss being near Lake Erie. No, it was not an ocean, but summers were truly beautiful there. We ventured up to Put-In-Bay at least once each summer. Now the pond in my back yard has to suffice, lol.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
Blessings,
~Toni~

ReplyDeleteAfter the nasty weather the day before, we couldn't have asked for a better day yesterday. I walked around the waterfront a bit at lunch and the tall ships are amazing. Wish I had had time to see them all. Maybe tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteUsually in January or February they come to Tampa and I go to see them -- awesome to say the least!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
