  1. Neither of these photos were taken by me - and I couldn't find the names of the photographers, unfortunately.

But I simply had to post them today, so I could ask this question:

What do a rock star, a restaurant and Bermuda have in common?

Drop by tomorrow for my review of Wylie Kinson's 'Law of Averages' to find out.

  3. Ooh, such a pretty man.

Can't wait to read your review; I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek.

  4. I love sneak peeks!

And what I wouldn't give to be on a beach like that right now. Sigh..

  5. Not playing this week, but wanted to comment. I don't know who the rock star is, but I could really go for that awesome restaurant in Bermuda. Have a great WW. :)

  7. SQUEEE!! I got a mention :D

I can't wait to hear what you thought about Law of Averages, Julia.

And just a point of interest... the restaurant, AQUA, was one of my faves. It has absolutely stunning views of Bermuda's south shore, and the hotel it's in, Ariel Beach, is owned by Michael Douglas's family. (His mother is Bermudian)

  8. Hehehe, when I saw the first guy I was like LAW OF AVERAGES.

A rocking good book. No pun intended.

  9. For anyone wondering who the yummy rock star might be:

It's Mark Wahlberg from the movie 'Rock Star', which came out in 2001.

If you're wondering who Mark Wahlberg is, he's been in 'Three Kings' (1999), 'The Perfect Storm' (2000), 'Four Brothers' (2005) and 'The Departed' (2006).

  10. ha ha! what a great teaser for wylie's book!

personally, i never remember mark wahlberg's name, i just think to myself 'that guy who is interchangeable with matt damon in body type, facial expression, and sorts of movie roles'

my favorite of his movies is 'the italian job'

  12. The HBO series Entourage is loosely based on Mark Wahlberg's life. And I think he's one of the producers.

If you haven't checked it out yet, you should. It's worth it just to see Jeremy Piven in action.

  13. I know I'd like that series, Annette. I'll have to watch it on DVD all at once.

  14. That's what we did, Julia. Actually, we've done that for quite a few shows: Lost, Arrested Development, The Office, 30 Rock. We're now going through all the House episodes.

  15. Hi Julie -- Right now I am envious of whoever's trip to Bermuda.
In January we will rectify that by going on our Queen Mary 2 Caribbean cruise. It doesn't stop at Bermuda but we've been there.

I turn into a vampire at midnight whenever we have a full moon. Guess I had better read up on your WIP.

Happy WW! Thanks for the Bloggers for World Peace post. I may do it on a lessor blog.

  17. And Rock Star was a hard movie to watch at times, but man he's got a voice that touches my soul. I wish he'd record albums!
