Hurricane Bill blew through the Maritimes on Sunday, creating spectacular displays out at Peggy's Cove, which drew wave watchers.
ReplyDeleteThough the RCMP barricaded the road and dissuaded the public from endangering themselves, some wave watchers went ludicrously close to the water. Three of the teens in the shot on the front page of the paper were swept into the sea by those enormous waves.
Fortunately - ? - they were rescued. But why should anyone be forced to rescue such idiots?

ReplyDeleteIt's sad when people don't think safely and they put not only their lifes in danger but those that rescue them (and the ones that might have been left behind)... On a side note ouch those are big waves for the east coast

ReplyDeleteThey shouldn't have been saved. It's called survival of the fittest for a reason... Darwin at his best! Natural selection can't do its part in thinning the herd of the stupid ones. if we keep saving them!

ReplyDeleteA few days ago I heard of a similar story, except only 2 of the 3 were rescued... The one that wasn't was a 7 year old little girl.
