Once upon a time, I had pictures of Patrick Swayze up on my bedroom wall. He was dressed in Civil War-era finery as Orry Main from the 1985 miniseries 'North and South'.
Imagine my shivery delight as a young admirer - when I discovered that he was also a classically trained ballet dancer!
In honour of Patrick Swayze following his passing on Monday, I wanted to share these lasting images of his vitality, powerful grace and inner joy.
*sniffs* His poor family. I saw the interviews with them a few months ago. They were being so very brave. I can't imagine being that brave in that situation.
They were displaying old photos of Swayze on the news.....I had forgotten how handsome he was when he was very young. Through the years he began to loose his looks....I'm guessing it was the 3 packs a day. :-/
Your WW matches my post from yesterday. So tragically sad. I'll miss him, despite his being a celebrity, I totally loved that man and felt like he was a part of my youth!
He's one of the few celebs who has passed recently who I have honestly felt sad about their passing... Dirty Dancing has been one of my favorites since a very young age. I lost my granddad to the same cancer. At least he's no longer in pain... :o(
Great post we will truly miss him! Thanks for your guess on Wordless Wednesday, A few were Close and a couple had guesses that put together was the answer. Please stop by for the reveal at At Home with Auntie E.- have a nice bloggy Day.

I too loved Patrick Swayze. Saddened that his time here on earth was cut short, but happy to know he isn't in any pain anymore.
