Thursday Thirteen - 229 - 13 Ways to Take it to the Mat - Vampire Smackdown 2011

Welcome to the pre-show of my Resistance is Futile Blog Tour of the Universe. In just over a month, my debut Dark Ages vampire novel Saint Sanguinus will be available for purchase.

Until then, let's find our ringside seats for the ultimate showdown between these fearsome vampires who have inspired me over the years.

Here's how the Smackdown works.

There are six bouts between twelve combatants. PLEASE VOTE on each bout in the comments section.

    4. Spike (never loved him, but he's better than Keifer, imo)

    6. Dean (duh - a vampire with a heart! Come on, ain't that sexy & sweet at the same time? Plus, yeah, he's the Sword of Michael!)

    Hmm, Edward as the cabana boy? I vote for that too :)

    I love the idea of a vampire smack down.

    1. Dracula - Gary Oldman wins in almost any match up.

    2. Lestat - I base this vote on the books. Eric's arrogance is less attractive than Lestat's.

    3. Bill - This is purely a vote for the vampire I know over the one I haven't heard of.

    4. David - This is a close one.

    5. Barnabas - Another tough call because I like Angel. But I must go with the vintage Barnabas.

    6. Jerry - I'm not familiar with either vampire, so I'll go with the scary I've seen in Fright Night trailers.

    5. Tough call, but I'll have to go with Barnabas. I'm old school.
    6. Dean. This is kind of a cheat because I cast Jensen as a vampire in one of my books before the episode ever aired. It's probably as close as I'll ever get to seeing my characters on TV
