Travis at Trav's Thoughts invites everyone to lay down a short set of music that takes their fancies for his 5 on Friday meme.
My set this week is a companion piece for the release of Summer Passions (Seasons of Love), a set of 'three delicious Regency short stories' by Michelle McMaster, whose wit had me literally laughing out loud within the first ten lines.
If these stories came with a soundtrack, I do believe it would sound something like this:
2 - Sonata for fortepiano and mandolin in C major composed by Johann Hummel - Sofronitsky (fortepiano) and Walz (mandolin)
3 - Mit einem gemalten Band (With a painted ribbon) composed by Ludwig van Beethoven - Peter Schrier (tenor) and Walter Olbertz (piano)
Any morning that starts with Schubert has to turn out well. Lovely set.
ReplyDeleteThese are all great pieces. Thanks for sharing. I gave you and Scorpius a shout out today at The Imaginarium. :) http://melissasimaginarium.blogspot.com/2012/08/friday-awesome-sauce.html
ReplyDeleteI know my Late Uncle Pat would have really enjoyed this set.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jul! This is a wonderful soundtrack that really captures the mood of SUMMER PASSIONS.
ReplyDeleteA little classical music on a Sunday morning is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteNo Kanye????
ReplyDeleteI will make sure to check these out ... don't listen to much classical music (I'm pretty low-rent), but I always know you have good suggestions!!
