Welcome to my third year participating in the A to Z Blog Challenge.
What is the A to Z Challenge? Bloggers post each day during the month of April, except for Sundays, and gear each post to the letters of the alphabet. You can continue to follow the regular format of your blog, or choose to do something special for the challenge.
For newcomers to my blog, A Piece of My Mind is an arts blog. My posts will showcase some aspect of the creative process.
When I'm not blogging, I'm a dark fantasy author, and it just so happens that today is Day 1 of my Black Lion Virtual Book Tour for BOUND BY DRAGONSFYRE.
So for Day 1 of the A to Z Challenge
A
is for

I'd like to send out a very special thank you to Arlee Bird, the founder of the A to Z Blog Challenge. Arlee sent out a challenge in 2010 for the first A to Z event, and close to 100 bloggers joined in that first year. That's when I first bumped into it, and decided that I would love to take part in it.
So the following year, 2011, I was one of almost 1300 people blogging from A to Z. Only one year and it grew to over ten times its original size.
Last year it grew again to 1700 bloggers, and as of late Sunday night, the sign-up list has just over 1700 names on it.
This year, I'm blogger number 1324. I'm looking forward to meeting up with previous A to Z-ers as well as welcoming new visitors here, and I know I'll discover so many interesting blogs as I head out into the Blogosphere for the challenge.
Thank you Arlee for this annual event that has brought me several close online friendships I now cannot do without.

All the best for your book and also for A to Z challenge. Btw the synopsis itself was interesting. :)
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this before ... love the idea!!! Can't wait to see what blog subjects you come up with! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Me!
ReplyDeleteNikki - This is my third year for A to Z - you can check out some of my previous posts for 2012 and 2011 if you go to the April sections in my blog archive. The first year my blog was much busier, when I regularly posted M, T, W, Th and F anyway. Last year I was so busy with the launch of BOUND BY DRAGONSFYRE, I kept it simple and focused on my favorite male fictional characters. This year it coincides with my book tour! LOL!
How fun. Love your site and look forward to hearing your take on the arts.
ReplyDeleteSo this isn't your first rodeo? :) Excited to read your posts. Good luck with your blog tour!
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see what you come up with Sarge! Tally HO!
ReplyDeleteArlee has led us all to the Blogging promise land! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is an unimaginably large blog hop. May it bring your book much success!
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool that you've done it so many times. This is only my second year, and this time around I'm more nervous because I remember how tough those last two weeks were. Best of look with your book tour!
ReplyDeleteWow — that's a lot of growth! This is my first year, and I'm very much looking forward to being introduced to some great new blogs. Good luck with your book tour.
ReplyDeleteAuthor on tour sounds GREAT! Maybe one day that will be me. :-) Looking forward to more.
ReplyDeleteHello, fellow author on tour. I guess a blog itself could be called a tour. This is my second year and so far, the response has been tremendous.
