This photo was taken by my dad on Christmas Eve 1988. My parents lived in Romeo, Michigan at the time, a return to that state after a sixteen-year absence. They moved back to Nova Scotia the following year, but it was a real treat to be able to share Christmas Eve with our Michigan aunts, uncles and cousins.
I've always loved this photo. Dad slipped outside to take a few shots of us sitting down to the meal, and I really treasure this one. That's me taking the picture. My cousin Warren and my Aunt Kathie are also visible.
