Poetry Train Monday - 81 - You Are So Beautiful

On Dec. 28th, my little beagle/Nova Scotia duck toller mix turned 8 years old.

Here's a few recent pictures of her:

My cousin's daughter, Sarah got a preschoolers' camera for Christmas and took as many shots as me at Christmas Dinner.

Here's her picture of Xena:

Notice the 3-year-old's vantage point!

For the Poetry Train today, I'd like to dedicate this song to Xena, and thank her for 8 beautiful years together as a Pack. Happy Birthday to my little furry chum.

You Are So Beautiful

You are so beautiful to me
You are so beautiful to me
Can't you see
You're everything I hoped for
You're everything I need
You are so beautiful to me

Such joy and happiness you bring
Such joy and happiness you bring
Like a dream
A guiding light that shines in the night
Heavens gift to me
You are so beautiful to me

- Billy Preston and Bruce Fisher, 1974
