Robin's Summer Stock Sunday meme invites all to post summery photos and visit other bloggers who share their feelings and memories about this magical season.
This shot was taken by my husband's Aunt Pat in the 1970s at the family cottage. They spent their summers in the Ottawa Valley in Ontario, the cottage nestled along Lake Clear.
I got to spend a wonderful weekend there with my sister-in-law and two nieces about 14 years ago - it really is a magical spot.
Shown in the picture are my sister-in-law Karen, my husband Brad, my brother-in-law Jeff and my late father-in-law David.

Nice memories.
excellent!
This week, it seems that summer is about remembering times past. Love the photo!
Looks like Karen has just been for a swim, Jeff is trying to get his own "poke" going for the fire, and Brad is explaining something to his dad. And dad (like my dad in those days) is CEO FIRE BASE!
I wonder what was cooking in the pot. Camp food ... yum
What a perfect summertime shot. Great one Julia!

Your photo brings to mind summer camping trips in King's Canyon in central California with my four siblings and my parents...innertubing on the river and campfires. Fun!
That seems like a picturesque vacation. Sweet.
I gave you an award. Come and get it. Durward Discussion
Looks so nice! Like the photo very much.
Happy week to you:-)
Great memories, Julia, and I just read through your New York post - fabulous! That was definitely a trip for the bucket list.
