Travis at Trav's Thoughts invites everyone to lay down a short set of music that takes their fancies for his 5 on Friday meme.
These songs and musical pieces all come from the Everything is Illuminated soundtrack. Released in 2005, it's one of my favorite indie films, directed by Liev Schreiber.

3 - Fear of the South - Mishkalé
On the soundtrack, this piece is done by Tin Hat Trio, but their version is sadly not available (as it is gorgeous.) But I'm very happy to find this live version - thanks, Mishkalé!
4 - Amari Szi Amari - Csókolom
5 - Zvezda Rock N Rolla - Leningrad

Nice combination: One of my favorite actors as a director, independent movie which is usually my favorite kind, Klezmer - Eastern European music score. and now I have to find a movie I've never seen. Thanks for the lead.
I have to admit the music isn't to my taste, but I did enjoy clicking on the links and listening to something new and different. Thanks for sharing, Julia. Have a fun weekend.
I enjoyed this set, thank you for sharing it.
Not what I'd normally listen to on my own, but that's what I enjoy about your participation every Friday. Often you lead me to try something I wouldn't consider without a nudge.
