1 - Mikhail Baryshnikov

Born in Riga, Latvia and became an American citizen in 1986

A dancer, choreographer, actor, former Artistic Director of American Ballet Theatre, co-founder and former director of White Oak Dance Project

My absolute hero. The greatest male ballet dancer of our time.

Recently appeared on Sex and The City.

My favorite films of his are The Turning Point and White Nights. Has been nominated for an Oscar and a Tony award, and won the Drama Critics Award for his performance in Metamorphosis.

2 - Robert Beltran

Born in Bakersfield, California

Actor, founder and co-director of the East LA Classic Theater Group, member of the ensemble group Classical Theater Lab

Best known as Commander Chakotay on Star Trek: Voyager

My favorite films of his are Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills and Eating Raoul.

3 - Jeff Bridges

Born in Los Angeles, California

Actor, musician, photographer, artist

Currently in theatres in Iron Man

My favorite films of his are Rapunzel from Faerie Tale Theatre and Starman.

4 - Benicio del Toro

Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, a Caribbean territory of the United States

Actor, artist

My favorite films of his are Sin City and Traffic.

5 - Johnny Depp

Born in Owensboro, Kentucky

Actor, musician, with multiple Oscar nominations

My favorite films of his include Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Chocolat, From Hell, Finding Neverland, the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

6 - James Franco

Actor, artist

My favorite films of his are the Spider-Man trilogy, The Company and Tristan + Isolde.

Oh - and in my own pathetic version of 'My Brush with Fame', I got punched in the head by Jeff's brother Beau!!
No kidding -- it was an accident, of course, on a dance floor. His moves were a bit... 'enthusiastic' *hee* and I got backhanded but good.

Not playing this week, but wanted to comment. Most of these folks I've never seen before. I guess that's bound to happen when one doesn't watch television or go to the movies. Jeff Bridges however. Yummy. Have a great day. ;)

i've loved johnny depp since the tv series 21 Jump Street. one of my fav movies of his is What's Eating Gilbert Grape
