This is a little trip back in time to my arrival on planet Earth. In the top photo: My mom and dad just before they got married and shipped overseas to France. The woman standing just above my mom (who is seated) is my one remaining grandparent, my dad's mom.
Middle photo: my mom brings me home to their little house on the base in their white Volkswagen bug.
Bottom photo: my dad holds me on the step of my first home.
thank you for sharing the photos. you are lucky to have these:) i'm also glad (referring to your previous piece) that you were born at just the right time. i very much enjoy your point of view on many things. interesting blog!
Mojo - LOL!! I spent all of three months there. My dad was finished his three years and we hightailed it back to Michigan, where I spent my next six years.
Sorry to hear about your unhappy time at Fort Hood. I'm sure my dad was happy to say 'see ya' when he left there, too.

Oh what lovely photos!
Wonderful stuff. These pics tell quite a story.
Your first home was at Ft. Hood?
My sympathies. I spent three miserable years in that place. Never been happier to leave anywhere.
