To launch Leslie McKeown Week here at A Piece of My Mind, here is a shot of me, during the summer between grade six and seven, in my Roller gear. The summer of 1976 was Bay City Rollers summer for me, when I was mad for lead singer Leslie McKeown.
I sewed some plaid onto a shirt and voila - Roller gear!
Join me all this week for my retrospective look at my first teenage crush.

I was too old for the BCRs but I remember most of their songs. ;)
this is a great picture. it takes me back to a time my arm strength could have held my body up like that too. if i were to venture doing this again i'd fall flat on my face. look forward to seeing your look back. hope all is well.
LOL. I think I missed that craze. And by the look of that plaid it was probably a good thing.
How weird, Julia, I was just telling my son yesterday that I used to be able to do a handstand. lol. Key word: used to. lol
