Almost Wordless Wednesday - 114

Akelamalu says It really annoys me when other people have to put their lives at risk for idiots who put themselves in danger!

Brooke says It's sad when people don't think about the ones that might have been left behind...

Kailana says Yep, that's just a prime example of stupidity.

Hurricane Bill blew through the Maritimes on Sunday, creating spectacular displays out at Peggy's Cove, which drew wave watchers.

Though the RCMP barricaded the road and dissuaded the public from endangering themselves, some wave watchers went ludicrously close to the water. Three of the teens in the shot on the front page of the paper were swept into the sea by those enormous waves.

Fortunately - ? - they were rescued. But why should anyone be forced to rescue such idiots?

It's sad when people don't think safely and they put not only their lifes in danger but those that rescue them (and the ones that might have been left behind)... On a side note ouch those are big waves for the east coast

They shouldn't have been saved. It's called survival of the fittest for a reason... Darwin at his best! Natural selection can't do its part in thinning the herd of the stupid ones. if we keep saving them!

Akelamalu - If you have to sneak around barricades and RCMP officers, shouldn't something be registering in what passes for a brain that maybe it's not the best idea?

Brooke - If you could only see the signs posted everywhere at Peggy's Cove warning of imminent death - even on calm days!

Kailana - *slapping forehead*

VaBookworm - LOL!!!!!

He's lucky he was rescued!
A few days ago I heard of a similar story, except only 2 of the 3 were rescued... The one that wasn't was a 7 year old little girl.
